The card terminal is not reached
The POS could not reach the card terminal: what to check, how to test the line, and what to do when the guest may have been charged.

When you take a card payment, the POS sends the amount to the card terminal. If it cannot reach the terminal, it says so, and nothing was charged. The bill stays as it was.

- The message, in red: nothing was charged. After the colon, the reason the POS met.
- Close: back to the payment window.
On Android it says The card terminal could not be reached (…). Nothing was charged.
Check in this order
- Check the terminal is switched on and shows its ready screen.
- Check the terminal and this POS are on the same shop network. On Windows with a cable, check the cable is plugged in.
- On the POS, tap ⚙, 🔌 Hardware, then 💳 Payment terminals. Check the terminal's IP address and Port.
- Press Check the connection. The line to the terminal opened (…). Nothing was sent to it. means the POS reaches it. It never makes a sale.
- Go back to the bill and press Take again.
- Still not reached? Take the payment by another method.
When the guest may have been charged
If the window says The customer MAY have been charged. Look at the terminal or its slip before you try again., the sale reached the terminal but no answer came back.
- Look at the terminal's screen or its slip.
- Press Close, then Take again on the same bill, with the same card method.
- The POS first asks the terminal about the earlier sale. If it was approved for this bill, it is recorded now, and nothing is charged again.
If something goes wrong
- The terminal is busy with another payment on this POS. Wait for it to finish.: wait, then press Take again.
- PBB is not set up on this POS: Hardware → Payment terminals: set the terminal up on this POS first.
- A card payment not confirmed yet (Windows, under Payment terminals): press Check with the terminal. Press It was not charged only after the terminal shows no such payment.
