Top up, refund, forfeit, extend or void a deposit
Add money to a deposit, give it back, keep it, give it more days, or cancel one keyed by mistake.
On the Deposits tab of 📒 Pay later / Deposit, tap a deposit to see what else you can do with it. Refund, forfeit, extend and void are a manager's, and need the internet.

- The deposit: who, what for, and what is left. Past its date or Expired warns you. Tap it to show the buttons.
- Top up: the customer adds money. Key the Top-up amount, tap the method, press Take RM 50.00.
- Refund: gives money back.
- Forfeit: the customer loses what is left. An order kept with it is closed as not collected.
- Extend: more days before it expires.
- Void: for a deposit keyed by mistake. Only on the POS that took it, in the same shift, before any of it is used.
Reprint slip prints the slip again, with its code but no QR.
Refund a deposit
- Tap the deposit, then Refund.
- Check Amount to refund. Lower it to give back only a part.
- Tap how the money goes back. For a card or a transfer, key the Reference.
- Type a Reason if you like.
- If manager boxes show, a manager types their PIN.
- Press Refund RM 200.00. The refund slip prints, for the customer to sign.
Forfeit, extend or void
- Forfeit: type the Reason (required), then press Forfeit RM 200.00.
- Extend: key Days more, or choose the New last day, then press Extend.
- Void: type the Reason (required), then press Void this deposit. The money goes back out of this drawer.
If something goes wrong
- Some of this deposit has been used, so it cannot be voided. Refund what is left instead.: use Refund.
- The shift this deposit was taken in is closed, so it cannot be voided. Refund it instead.: use Refund.
- Sign in as manager under a refusal: this POS reached its daily limit for deposit money given back. The manager presses it, signs in and does it again.
