When a customer comes back to pay what they owe, you knock off the debt: all of it or a part. It prints a payment receipt. The money counts in today's takings as debt collected, not as a sale.

The Knock off window

Knock off a debt: the invoices on the left, the money on the right.
  1. Owes: everything the customer owes, as this POS knows it.
  2. The invoices: tick the ones the customer wants to pay first. The rest are paid oldest first.
  3. The methods: how the customer pays. Cash is chosen first.
  4. Amount paid: starts at everything owed. Key less to take only a part.
  5. Handed over: cash only. Tap it and key the notes you are given; the change shows beside it.
  6. Take RM 186.50: takes the money.

Take the payment

  1. Open 📒 Pay later / Deposit, then the Invoices tab.
  2. Find the customer and press Knock off. To pay one invoice, tap the customer's name, then Pay this beside it.
  3. Tick the invoices to pay first, if the customer says which.
  4. Choose the method. Key the amount if the customer pays only a part.
  5. For cash, tap Handed over and key what you are given.
  6. Press Take RM 186.50.

The window says Paid, with the payment receipt's number and the change to give. The receipt prints by itself. Print again prints another copy; Close goes back to the list.

If something goes wrong

  • The cloud cannot be reached: this is this POS's copy of what is owed. A manager's PIN, or staff code and password, is needed.: a manager types their PIN in the window.
  • More than is owed: the cloud keeps the extra as the customer's credit.: lower the amount, unless the customer wants the credit.
  • The receipt did not print: check the printer is on and has paper, then press Print again.
