The shelf
See what your outlet is holding for guests right now, one line per item.
The Shelf tab shows everything your outlet is holding for guests right now. Each item is listed once, with how many are kept for all guests together. Use it to check the shelf behind the bar.
Before you start
- The POS must be online. The cloud counts the shelf, so with no internet the tab shows nothing.

- Shelf: the tab. It is blue when it is open.
- Held for customers at this outlet: the list. It shows counts only, never a value: the bottles were paid for on the night they were opened.
- Refresh: counts the shelf again.
- An item: its name, with its item code under it.
- How many are kept: for all guests together, in the item's unit, such as 4 BTL. Half a bottle shows as 0.5.
- A red line: the counts do not agree. Tell a manager.
Look at the shelf
- On the table screen, press 🍾 Kept items.
- Press Shelf at the top.
- Wait while it says Reading the shelf…. The items show.
- To count again, for example after a bottle is handed back, press Refresh.
For one guest's bottles, use Find · All kept instead. Android has the same tab and the same lines.
If something goes wrong
- The shelf could not be read: connect the POS to the internet, then press Refresh. Find · All kept still shows each guest's keep.
- Nothing is being held for anyone.: no item is kept at this outlet right now.
- A red line under a count: ask a manager to check the item in the back office, Custody, The shelf.
