The scale (ACLAS OS2)
Plug the Aclas OS2 scale into the POS by USB, switch it on in Hardware, and read a weighed dish with one press.

With an Aclas OS2 scale plugged in by USB, the cashier weighs a dish sold by weight with one press: ⚖️ Read scale on the quantity pad. It works on the Windows and the Android POS. The scale belongs to this POS only; nothing about it goes to the cloud.
Before you start
- The scale is plugged into this POS by USB and switched on, with the pan empty.
- The dishes are sold by weight in the back office. See Dishes sold by weight.

Save5- Read a scale on this POS: On puts ⚖️ Read scale on the quantity pad.
- The weight: what is on the pan now. Dashes mean no weight is coming in.
- Tare and Zero: Tare takes the plate's weight off; Zero sets the empty pan to zero.
- What this POS can see: the scale, and the other devices on the PC. Press yours.
- Save: saves it and opens the scale.
Set up the scale on Windows
- On the table screen, press ⚙ (Settings), Hardware, then Scale.
- Press the switch so it says On.
- Under What this POS can see, press the scale. Press Refresh if it is not listed.
- Press Save. It says Saved. Opening … and connects.
- Put a plate on the pan: the weight shows. With the pan empty and not at 0, press Zero.
On Android
On Hardware, Scale: switch on Use a scale on this POS, press USB, press the scale under Plugged into this tablet, then Save. Android asks if FooodPos may use the device: tap Allow. The weight shows with Steady when it has settled.
Weigh a dish
Ring a dish sold by weight. On the quantity pad, put it on the scale and press ⚖️ Read scale, then OK.
If something goes wrong
- Windows has … as a USB PRINTER… (Android: This is the printer this POS prints receipts on. It cannot be the scale too.): you pressed the receipt printer. Press the scale instead.
- The weight has not settled. Keep the plate still and press Read scale again.: wait until the plate stops moving.
- There is no Read scale button: the scale is switched off on this POS, or the dish is not sold by weight.
