What holds the day end
Which lines of the Day End screen keep Close the day grey, how to settle each, and which are only for your information.
Most lines on the Day End screen only tell you something. Only three things keep Close the day grey. Settle them and the button works.

Closing the day cancels them
Choose, for each other POS drawer, whether it is counted here or closed not counted.4
Close the day (RM 995.50 counted)5- Other POS drawers still open: holds the day end until you press Count here or Not counted on each row.
- POS terminals with work not yet sent: a POS whose bills have not reached the cloud. With no unpaid bill to warn about, it leaves only Force.
- QR orders, Kitchen, Kept items, POS terminals not heard from: for your information. They never hold the day end.
- The amber line: says why Close the day is grey.
- Close the day: grey until the holds are settled.
Two more lines never hold it: bills not paid yet (they stay open, and the POS warns you with Continue), and an earlier day's papers that did not print (Print them or Dismiss).
Settle each hold
- Another POS's drawer: press Count here and count its cash on this screen, or Not counted. It closes with the day either way.
- You may not run the day end: a manager types their PIN (or staff code and password) in the box above Close the day.
- Work not yet sent: see the steps below.
Force the day closed
- Make sure the listed POS is on and has internet, then press Refresh. Its work usually arrives in a moment.
- Still listed? Press Force (Android: Force it closed).
- On Windows, confirm Force the day closed? The day closes. That POS's bills count on this day when they arrive. Nothing is voided.
If something goes wrong
- The cloud would not close the day: the screen says why. Deal with what it names, then close the day again.
- The POS that is listed is broken: see Unsynced bills before day end.
