Today at a glance

The floor right now, in the back office. Tables occupied, open bills, QR orders waiting, kitchen tickets stuck, each outlet's row, the longest-seated tables and whether the day can be closed.

Today at a glance shows what is happening at your outlets right now: how many tables are taken, which bills are open, whether guests' QR orders are waiting, whether a kitchen ticket is stuck, and whether the day can be closed. It reads everything again every 30 seconds.

Use it during service from the office or from home. To see how you are selling over a period, use the Dashboard.

Nothing can be changed here. Tables, bills and the day end are handled on the POS.

Before you start

  • Each part needs its own right: the tables need the floor plan's, the open bills the open bills', and so on. A part you may not see is not drawn.
  • The page opens on every outlet you may see. With more than one outlet, the Outlet box narrows it to one.

Open Today at a glance

  1. In the back office's menu, under TODAY, click Today at a glance.
  2. The page greets you and shows the business day.

The top of the page, part by part

Today at a glance: the greeting, the four tiles, and each outlet's row.
  1. Today at a glance: the second screen under TODAY in the menu.
  2. The greeting and the day: Good morning, Good afternoon or Good evening with your first name. Under it, the outlets shown and the business day, such as All outlets · Business day 22 Oct. When outlets are on different days, each is named. A grey Day closed badge shows when the day is closed (with several outlets: Day closed at HQ).
  3. Boss app: your sales on your phone. Install the Android app beside it downloads the Android Boss app, when one is available.
  4. Outlet: All outlets, or one outlet. Shown only when you have more than one outlet.
  5. Refresh: reads everything again now. The page also does it by itself every 30 seconds.
  6. Tables occupied: how many tables have guests, with how many are free and how many are awaiting clearing (billed, not yet cleared). Click it to open the Floor Plan.
  7. Open bills: how many bills are not paid yet, with the money on the floor, or Nothing outstanding. Click it to open Open Bills.
  8. QR orders waiting: guests' QR orders nobody has accepted or rejected yet. The number turns amber and says Needs a decision; at none it says Tray is clear. Click it to open QR Orders.
  9. Kitchen tickets: tickets that need a person. Not printed (red) failed or may not have printed. Waiting (amber) is in the queue with no POS taking it, or was never confirmed printed. See The Kitchen tickets tile.
  10. By outlet: one row per outlet, shown only with more than one outlet. Click a row to see that outlet alone. See By outlet, column by column.

The Kitchen tickets tile

The tile counts the tickets of the last 12 hours that need someone to look at them. A ticket printing normally right now is in neither number.

  • Nothing stuck in the last 12 hours: all is well.
  • Open to check: click the tile to open Kitchen Tickets, which lists them and says why.
  • 2 not shown on a screen: tickets meant for a kitchen display that no screen has shown.

The Kitchen Tickets page shows one outlet: the one you are working in. So the tile opens it only when it counts that same outlet. Otherwise the tile says which outlets it counts:

  • HQ only, with The Kitchen page shows the outlet you are working in, and a link Open HQ's kitchen tickets.
  • Across HQ, PJ, with Open the Kitchen page per outlet, under By outlet. Each row of By outlet then has its own Open.

An Open for an outlet you are not working in switches your working outlet to it first, then opens the page. Rest the pointer on it: it says so before you click. See Kitchen Tickets.
