Forgot your password
Set a new back office password with a link sent to your email address. The request form, the security check, the email, the Set a new password page, and what to do when a link no longer works.
On this page
If you cannot remember your back office password, ask for a link by email. The link opens a page where you choose a new password. Nobody at FooodPos, and nobody at your restaurant, needs to know the old one.
The same link is how a signed-in person changes their password: Send me a link to change my password, in the menu under your name. See The top bar and your account menu.
Before you start
- You can open the mailbox of the address you sign in with.
- The link works for 60 minutes and once. Have a few minutes free to finish.
Ask for a link
- Open the sign-in page (fooodpos.com/login) and click Forgot your password? under Sign in.
- Type your Email: the address you sign in with.
- Wait for the Security check to finish. Usually it ticks itself.
- Click Send the link. It reads Sending… for a moment.
- The page changes to Check your email.

Did you mean siti@gmail.com? Use it
1Security check
✓Success!Cloudflare2- Email: the address you sign in with. When it looks like a common mistake, such as gmial.com, a line under the box asks Did you mean gmail.com?. Click Use it to take the suggestion. Check this: a link sent to a wrong address never arrives, and the page cannot tell you so.
- Security check: a small check by Cloudflare that a person, not a program, is asking. It usually passes by itself; sometimes it asks you to tick a box.
- Send the link: sends the request.
- Back to sign in: returns to the sign-in page.
Check your email
The page says the same thing whether or not the address has an account. This is on purpose: the form cannot be used to find out who is a FooodPos customer.
Check your email
- Use a different address: empties the form, to ask for another address.
The email comes from FooodPos with the subject Set a new FooodPos password. It has a Set a new password button, with the link written out under it, and names every subscription your address signs in to: one password serves them all.
Set a new password
- In the email, click Set a new password. The page first reads Checking your link…, then Set a new password.
- Check the address and the restaurants named under the heading, such as For s****i@g****.com at “Kopitiam Demo”.
- Type the new password in New password: at least 8 characters.
- Type it again in Repeat new password.
- Click Set the password. It reads Setting the password….
- The page says Your password has been changed. Click Sign in and sign in with the new password.
Set a new password
At least 8 characters. Longer is better.
2Repeat new password- Who and where: your address, partly hidden, and the name of every subscription the new password opens, in quotation marks because each restaurant typed its own name. If you do not know a name, do not go on: somebody added your address to their restaurant.
- New password: at least 8 characters, up to 200. Longer is better.
- Repeat new password: the same again, so a typing mistake is caught here.
- Set the password: saves it. The link is used up at that moment.
What a new password changes
- The new password is the one password for every subscription your address signs in to. The old one stops working.
- Every back office sign-in of your address ends, on every browser and device. You sign in again once with the new password.
- If you also sign in at a POS with a staff code and this password, type the new password there too.
- A paired POS keeps working. A POS is paired to the restaurant, not to your account. If you think someone else has been in your account, sign in, open the outlet, then POS terminals, and press Re-pair on any POS you do not recognise: that signs the device out at once.
- FooodPos also sends an email saying the password changed. If it was not you, tell FooodPos straight away.
