When a guest phones to book a table, take the booking in Reservations with + Booking. You choose the party size and a free time; the cloud finds the table.

The booking is in the list at once, and on every POS under Bookings. Guests can also book themselves on your booking page. See Your booking link and QR.

Before you start

  • You need the right to change reservations. Without it, there is no + Booking.
  • Bookings and queue must be in your plan. Without it, + Booking is not shown.
  • The outlet needs a dining shift for that day, and a table that seats the party. Times come from the dining shifts. See Dining Shifts and Table Plan.

Open the New booking window

  1. Open Reservations, under TODAY in the menu.
  2. Pick the day of the booking in the day box. + Booking books the day shown.
  3. Click + Booking. The window New booking opens, with the day in its title.

The window, part by part

New booking: who, how many, a free time, and any request.
  1. The title: New booking, the day, and with several outlets, the outlet chosen.
  2. Outlet (required): where the table is. Shown only when you have more than one outlet. It starts on the outlet the page shows, or the one you are working in. Until one is chosen it says Choose an outlet….
  3. Guest name (required): the name the booking is under.
  4. Phone: the guest's phone, to call them if needed.
  5. Party size: how many guests, from 1 to 50. The free times change with it.
  6. Time: the times of the outlet's dining shifts for that day, as buttons. Click a free time: it turns blue. A time that is fully booked is greyed out and cannot be clicked. Rest the pointer on a time: a free one says how many tables are free, such as 3 table(s) free; a full one says Fully booked.
  7. Special request: anything the guest asks for, such as a high chair or a birthday. It shows in the list's Request column and on the POS.
  8. Cancel: closes the window. Nothing is booked.
  9. Book: takes the booking. It stays dimmed until a time and a guest name are chosen (and the outlet, with several). It says Booking… while it works.

Take a booking

  1. With several outlets, choose the Outlet.
  2. Type the Guest name and, if you have it, the Phone.
  3. Set the Party size. Checking availability… shows while the times load.
  4. Click a free Time.
  5. Type a Special request if there is one.
  6. Click Book.

The big green SAVED shows, the window closes, and the booking is in the list:

  • Its status is Confirmed and its source is Phone.
  • It holds a table: the smallest free table that seats the party at that time.
  • It has a booking number of the outlet's own, such as R26-00012.

To book a later day, close the window, pick that day on the page, and click + Booking again.
