Sign in to the back office
Open the FooodPos back office at fooodpos.com and sign in with your email address and password, then choose a subscription or an outlet when you are asked. Every box, button and message on the sign-in page, explained.
On this page
The back office is where you set up your restaurant and read its figures: the menu, the outlets, the POS terminals, the staff, the reports. It runs in a web browser on a computer, a tablet or a phone. You sign in with an email address and a password, nothing else.
The POS is different: staff sign in on the POS with their POS code and password, or their PIN. This guide is about the back office only.
Before you start
- You have a back office account: an email address that the restaurant has added under Back office users. The owner's address is the one used to start the free trial.
- You have the password. A new restaurant's password is in the welcome email, beside the address. A new back office user is sent their password by email when they are added.
- If you have forgotten the password, see Forgot your password.
Open the sign-in page
- In your browser, go to fooodpos.com and click Log in at the top of the page. Or go straight to fooodpos.com/login.
- The welcome email has a Sign in button too. It opens the same page with your email address already filled in, so the cursor waits in Password.
The sign-in page, part by part
FooodPosBack office
- Email: the address you sign in with, up to 200 characters. Capital letters do not matter.
- Password: your back office password. It is the same password for every subscription your email address signs in to.
- Sign in: checks the two. While it works, it reads Signing in….
- Forgot your password?: opens the page that emails you a link to set a new password.
- FooodPos website: goes back to fooodpos.com.
- Type your Email and your Password.
- Click Sign in.
- If your address signs in to one restaurant with one outlet (or with a default outlet), the back office opens on the Dashboard. You are done.
- If your address signs in to more than one subscription, the page asks Choose a subscription. See Choose a subscription.
- If your account works at more than one outlet and has no default outlet, the page asks Choose an outlet. See Choose an outlet.
When you open fooodpos.com/login while you are still signed in, the page sends you straight on to the back office.
Choose a subscription
A subscription is one restaurant's FooodPos account, with its own six-digit number. One email address can sign in to several, for example an owner with two restaurants. The list shows every subscription your password opens.
Choose a subscriptionThis email signs in to more than one.
Subscription
---
Kopitiam Demo · 305118 · Expires 7 Oct 20272
Nasi Lemak Corner · 418230 · Trial ends 18 Nov 20263
- Search: type part of a name, of the six-digit number or of the code. The list narrows as you type, and the line under the box says how many match, such as 1 of 2. When nothing matches, the list says No subscription matches that.
- A paid subscription: its name, its number, and the day it is paid until: Expires 7 Oct 2027. Amber in its last thirty days, red once the day has passed (Expired …).
- A free trial: Trial ends 18 Nov 2026. Amber in its last seven days, red once it has ended (Trial ended …).
- Not you? Sign in again: empties the form, for when the wrong address was typed.
Click a row to open that subscription, or move with the arrow keys and press Enter. Press Escape to go back to the form with your address still in it. The choice must be made within five minutes of Sign in.
You can move to another subscription later, without signing out. See Switch to another subscription.
Choose an outlet
An outlet is one branch of the restaurant. The back office works on one outlet at a time for some pages, so an account that works at several outlets, with no default, chooses one now.
Choose an outletYou have access to more than one. You can switch later from the Outlet box at the top of any page that works on one outlet.
- An outlet: its code in bold, then its name. Click it, and the back office opens there.
The outlet you choose here is your working outlet. Many pages show every outlet anyway, and the pages that work on one outlet have an Outlet box to change it. See All outlets, or the working outlet.
After you sign in
- The menu on the left starts with every category folded, except TODAY. See The side menu.
- Your name, email and role are at the top right. Sign out is in the menu under your name. See The top bar and your account menu.
- For an administrator or a manager of a restaurant with no POS paired yet, the guide How to start your POS opens by itself. Close it if you do not need it; it stays in the menu under your name.
- A sign-in lasts while you use it. If it has ended, the next click brings you back to this page.
