Reservations is the host stand in the back office. It lists the bookings of one day, at every outlet you may see: when, who, how many, which table, where the booking came from and how it stands. From here you mark a party as arrived, seat it, mark a no-show or cancel a booking.

Under the bookings, the Waitlist shows the parties in today's queue.

The same bookings are on the POS, under Bookings. See Bookings on the POS.

Before you start

  • You need the right to see reservations. Without it, Reservations is not in your menu. To press + Booking, Arrived, Seat, No-show or Cancel you also need the right to change them.
  • Bookings are taken in the times of your outlet's dining shifts. See Dining Shifts.
  • Taking new bookings is part of Bookings and queue in your plan. See What if… for a plan without it.

Open Reservations

  1. In the back office's menu, under TODAY, click Reservations.
  2. The page opens on today.

The screen, part by part

Reservations: the day, the bookings with their buttons, and the queue.
  1. Reservations: under TODAY in the menu.
  2. What it shows: the outlets shown, and how many bookings there are on the day chosen.
  3. Outlet: All outlets, or one outlet. Shown only when you have more than one outlet. With several, each booking and each party waiting carries its outlet's code.
  4. The day: the day whose bookings are listed. Pick another day to see its bookings.
  5. Today: goes back to today.
  6. + Booking: takes a new booking for the day shown. See Take a booking.
  7. Your booking link: the page where your guests book a table themselves, with Copy, Open and QR code. See Your booking link and QR.
  8. Guest: the guest's name and phone. When the guest chose food after booking, a line under the name says so. See A pre-order on a booking.
  9. Table: the table the booking holds, or unassigned.
  10. Source: where the booking came from: Phone (taken by staff, here or on the POS), Walk-in, Online (the guest booked on your booking page), Aggregator or Staff.
  11. Status: how the booking stands. See The statuses.
  12. The buttons: Arrived, Seat, No-show and Cancel, only those that fit the booking's status. See Work through the day.
  13. Waitlist: the parties in today's queue at each outlet: their queue number (#), name and phone, party, how long they have waited and the wait they were told (Quoted). Shown only while someone is waiting.

The time of a booking is the outlet's own clock: a booking for 19:30 at the outlet shows 19:30, wherever you open the back office. Request is the guest's special request, such as High chair, or —.

Work through the day

Which buttons a booking has depends on its status:

ButtonShown when the booking isWhat it does
ArrivedConfirmedMarks the guests as here.
SeatConfirmed or ArrivedOpens the booking's table for the party, as seating on the POS does.
No-showPending, Confirmed or ArrivedMarks that the guests did not come.
CancelPending, Confirmed or ArrivedCancels the booking.

Mark a party as arrived

  1. Find the booking. Pick the day, or press Today.
  2. Click Arrived. Updated shows, and the status turns Arrived.

Seat a party

  1. Click Seat on the booking.
  2. The table opens for the party, at the booking's outlet. The status turns Seated.
  3. A message says Lim Wei seated.

When the guest chose food after booking, seating puts it on the table's bill and sends it to the kitchen. The message then adds The pre-order went to the kitchen. The outlet's Main POS prints the kitchen tickets, or a kitchen display shows them.

Mark a no-show, or cancel

  1. Click No-show, or Cancel.
  2. The browser asks for a note: Note for the no-show? or Reason for cancelling? Type it, for example Called, not coming, and click OK.
  3. Updated shows, and the status turns No-show or Cancelled.

A cancel or a no-show drops any food the guest chose for the booking. Nothing was cooked or paid for it.

A pre-order on a booking

When Let guests choose their food after booking is on, a guest can pick dishes from your QR menu after booking. The booking's Guest cell then has a line:

  • Pre-order: 3 items, 54.70 (amber): kept for the table. Click it to see the dishes. Under them: Kept for the table: nothing is cooked or paid until the party is seated. The total is a guide; the bill is priced at the seat.
  • Pre-order on the bill: 3 items: the party was seated, and the dishes went on its bill.
  • Pre-order discarded: 3 items: the booking was cancelled or a no-show.

See Choose your food after booking.

See another day or outlet

  1. To see another day, pick it in the day box. Today brings you back.
  2. To see one outlet, choose it in Outlet. All outlets shows them all again.

The list reads the bookings again when you change the day or the outlet, or after a button. It does not refresh by itself: to see a booking a guest has just made, reload the page in your browser.
