All outlets, or the working outlet
A restaurant with more than one outlet sees two kinds of Outlet box in the back office. The outlet switch on TODAY, stock and report pages, which starts on All outlets, and the working outlet box on Items, Kitchen Tickets, Table Plan, Dining Shifts and a few more, which sets the one outlet you work in.
An outlet is one branch of your restaurant. When you have more than one, and your account may see more than one, some back office pages show a box labelled Outlet at the top. There are two kinds, and they do different things:
- The outlet switch says what a page shows: All outlets, or one. It is on the TODAY pages, the stock pages and every report. Each page has its own.
- The working outlet box says which outlet you work in. It has no All outlets. It is on the pages whose changes belong to one outlet, such as Items (sold out and prices) or Table Plan. One working outlet holds for the whole back office.
With one outlet, neither box is drawn: there is nothing to choose.
The outlet switch: what a page shows

- Outlet: All outlets shows every outlet you may see, together. Choose one outlet, written as its code and name (HQ — Kopitiam Demo), to see that outlet alone.
- Outlet column: while a page shows several outlets, each row says whose it is. On Open Bills, click the column's name to group the bills by outlet.

How it behaves
- Each page remembers its own choice while this browser tab stays open. Looking at BR2's open bills does not move the Dashboard.
- A new browser tab starts each page on All outlets again, and signing out forgets every choice.
- A link from another page (for example from the Dashboard) can open a page on one outlet, or on a few: the box then reads, for example, 2 outlets.
- It never changes your working outlet, so nothing reloads when you use it.
- When the outlets are on different business days, a report says so under its title, for example Each outlet on its own business day: BR2 24 Sep · HQ 25 Sep. See Dates, presets and the business day.
The working outlet: where you work
The working outlet is the outlet your sign-in works in. You chose it at sign-in (or it is your default outlet). A page whose changes belong to one outlet shows it in an Outlet box, and changing the box changes it for every page.
Items
Dishes, drinks, set meals and raw materials.
- Outlet: the outlet you work in, by code and name. It lists only your outlets, and has no All outlets.
- Switching…: shown while the back office moves you to the outlet you chose. The page then opens again there.

Pages about the whole restaurant (the menu's dishes and categories, taxes, users, voucher codes) have no box at all.
Change the working outlet
- On one of those pages, open the Outlet box and choose another outlet.
- If the page has changes you have not saved, the back office asks: Switch to BR2 — Kopitiam Demo Bangsar? The changes on this page that are not saved yet will be lost. Click Cancel to stay and save first, or OK to go on.
- The box shows Switching…, then the page opens again at the new outlet.
The working outlet is one for the whole browser. Every other back office tab in it moves too: a page there opens again at the new outlet by itself, and asks first if it holds unsaved changes.
