Table Plan: arrange many tables
Choose several tables at once on the Table Plan, with a box, Ctrl+click or Ctrl+A, move them together, line them up, space them evenly or make them the same size in one click, change them all at once, or remove them.
On this page
Twenty tables in neat rows take minutes, not an hour. On the Table Plan you can choose many tables at once, then move them together, line them up along one edge, space them evenly or give them all the same size, in one click each. The panel then sets a value on all of them at once.
Before you start
- Your access group needs Table Plan Designer with Edit. With View only you can still choose several tables, to look.
- A mouse and keyboard make it easiest: the box and Ctrl+click need them.
Choose several tables
- Drag a box on the empty floor, with the mouse. Every table the box touches is chosen. Hold Ctrl or Shift while you drag to add them to those already chosen.
- Ctrl+click (or Shift+click) a table: it joins the chosen ones, or leaves them if it was chosen.
- Ctrl+A: every table of the floor.
- Escape, or a click on the empty floor: none.
On a touch screen, a finger on the empty floor scrolls the page as always, and a tap on a table chooses that table only.

3 tables chosen
- Undo: takes the last change back (Ctrl+Z). A whole arrangement is one change.
- Align left: every chosen table's left edge on the line of the one furthest left.
- Centre left-to-right: their middles on one upright line, so they stand in a column.
- Align right: every right edge on the line of the one furthest right.
- Align top: every top edge on the line of the highest one, so they stand in a row.
- Centre top-to-bottom: their middles on one level line.
- Align bottom: every bottom edge on the line of the lowest one.
- Space evenly across: the tables furthest left and right stay; those between are spread so the gaps from left to right are equal. Needs three or more.
- Space evenly down: the same from top to bottom. Needs three or more.
- Same size: every chosen table takes the width and height of the first one you chose. Hover over the button: it says Same size as T01, the first chosen.
- The chosen tables: each has a blue ring. Drag any of them and all move together, keeping their spacing.
- The line under the floor: says how many are chosen (3 chosen).
- 3 tables chosen: the panel's heading, with one value for all of them.
- The note: What you set here is set on all 3. A box left blank means they differ. A list shows Mixed where they differ, and Text size shows mixed.
- Remove: takes every chosen table off the plan, after one question. Duplicate is offered only for one table.
The buttons appear once two or more tables are chosen. With exactly two, the bar adds Choose three or more to space them evenly. With one or none, the bar says how to choose several.
Every arrangement lines tables up by what you see: a turned table by the space it takes on the floor. The lines snap to the floor's grid, and every table stays on the floor.
Line up a row of tables
- Drag a box on the empty floor across the tables of the row.
- Click Align top (or Centre top-to-bottom). They stand in a line.
- Click Space evenly across. The gaps between them become equal.
- If they differ in size, click Same size: they all take the size of the first one chosen.
- Click Save layout.
Move many tables together
- Drag one of the chosen tables: the others go with it, the same distance. The table under the pointer snaps to the grid. If one of them would leave the floor, they all stop together at the edge.
- Arrow keys: every chosen table moves one grid step that way. Holding the key down is one change for Undo.
- A plain click on one of the chosen, without dragging, chooses that one only.
Change many tables at once
- Choose the tables.
- In the panel, set a box: Shape, Seats, Min, Max, Width, Height, Colour, Text size, Default order type, Price level, Tappable at the POS or In service. It is set on every chosen table. − and + of Text size step each table from the size it has.
- Click Save layout.
Code, Name, X, Y and Rotation° belong to one table, and show only when one is chosen.
Remove many tables
- Choose them, then click Remove in the panel (or press Delete).
- The back office asks Remove these 3 tables from the plan?, lists their codes (T01, T02, T03; up to 12, then and 8 more), and adds Any with sales history will be kept and deactivated instead.
- Click OK, then Save layout.
