Outlets: Operating hours
The outlet's Operating hours sub-tab. Set operating hours, a week grid with up to three opening periods a day, a period past midnight, Closed, Copy Monday to every day, and what the hours decide.
On this page
The Operating hours sub-tab says when the outlet is open, day by day. Up to three opening periods a day cover a lunch break, and a period may run past midnight.
The QR ordering page goes by these hours: outside them, guests see the menu but cannot order, and are told when you open again. That is unless the QR has hours of its own, on the QR ordering sub-tab. See QR ordering.
An outlet with no hours set counts as open at any time.
Before you start
- You may change the outlet.
- The hours are on the outlet's own clock.
Open it
- In the menu, under MASTERS, click Outlet, then Outlets.
- Click Edit on the outlet's row.
- Click the Operating hours sub-tab.
The sub-tab, part by part
Operating hours
- The line on top: what the hours are, and the rule for a period past midnight.
- Set operating hours: ticked, the outlet has the week below. Unticked, it has no hours and says No hours set: the outlet counts as open at any time, and so does its QR (unless the QR has its own hours).
- A day: Monday to Sunday, Monday first, one row each.
- A period: its opening time to its closing time, in 24 hours, as 10:00 to 15:00.
- Remove: takes that period off the day.
- + Add period: adds a period to the day, up to three. The first period of a closed day starts at 10:00 to 22:00; a second or third starts empty.
- Closed: takes every period off the day, so the outlet is closed that day.
- (next day): shown when a period closes earlier than it opens, such as 18:00 to 02:00. It runs past midnight and belongs to the day it opens: Friday night until 2 am Saturday is Friday's.
- Closed (in grey): a day with no period.
- Copy Monday to every day: gives every day Monday's periods. Change the days that differ afterwards.
- Save: saves the hours with the rest of the outlet.
Set the outlet's hours
- Tick Set operating hours.
- On Monday, press + Add period and set the opening and closing time. For a lunch break, add a second period: 10:00 to 15:00, then 17:30 to 23:00.
- Press Copy Monday to every day.
- Change the days that differ. Press Closed on a day you do not open.
- Click Save.
To take the hours off again, untick Set operating hours and click Save: the outlet counts as open at any time.
What the hours decide
- QR ordering: when the QR is set to Same as the outlet's operating hours, guests can order only inside these periods. Outside them the QR page shows the menu and says when it opens again, such as We open again at 10:00 am. See When the QR page is closed.
- The QR also closes after the day end until the next business day, and while a POS has closed it by hand, whatever the hours say.
The line on top of the sub-tab also says every POS shows the hours. The POS itself does not stop selling outside them: the till sells whenever it is open.
