On this page

A member's page shows everything about one member: who they are, what they hold, and everything that happened to them. From here you change their profile, renew, suspend or delete their membership, put their points or wallet right, and give or void a voucher.

Everything on the page is read from the Member Portal as it opens, and again after each change. What you change here is changed in the portal at once.

Before you start

  • To see the page, your back office access group needs Member (members, points, wallet, vouchers), View.
  • Each change needs its own tick in the same access group:
    • Edit: Edit profile, Renew, Suspend, Reactivate, Delete and Restore this member.
    • Adjust a member's points: Adjust points.
    • Reload or adjust a member's wallet: Reload and Adjust on the Wallet tab.
    • Issue, void or redeem a member's voucher; run the birthday vouchers: Issue a voucher and Void.
  • A button you have no right to is not shown.

Open a member's page

  1. In the back office's menu, under MASTERS, click Member, then Members.
  2. Click the member's row. Their page opens, in a tab of its own named Member and a number, such as Member 1024.

The same page opens from a name on Overview, on Member sales, from Open the member under Needs attention or a voucher looked up by its serial, and from a customer linked to a member.

When the Member Portal does not answer

A points adjustment, a wallet reload, a wallet adjustment and a voucher issue each act again every time they are sent: sent twice, a reload is two reloads. So their windows never send anything twice by themselves, and cannot be closed while a send is on its way.

When the portal does not answer in time, nobody can say whether it was done. The window then says so, and reads the ledger again to show you.

It is not known whether the reload went through: look before you send it again.
  1. It is not known whether this went through.: the portal did not answer. It may have done it, or it may not.
  2. What is there now: the balance and the newest rows, read again.
  3. Look again: reads them once more.
  4. It did not go through: send it again: sends it a second time. Press it only when the rows show it is not there.
  5. It went through: close: the rows show it: close the window.

Here the new Reload row is there, so it went through: click It went through: close. If even the ledger cannot be read, the window says What is there now could not be read either. Do not send this again until you have seen it. Close it, and look at the tab again in a moment.

What if…
