Outlets: Kept items
The outlet's Kept items sub-tab. Custody days, how long a customer may leave a bottle they paid for at this outlet, what changing it does to bottles already kept, and the messages a save can show.
A guest who pays for a bottle and does not finish it can leave it with you: a kept item. The POS prints a slip with the last day it is kept. The Kept items sub-tab sets how many days that is at this outlet.
Kept bottles are held at no value: keeping one changes nothing in your stock value or cost of sales.
Before you start
- You may change the outlet.
- Kept items are taken and handed back at the POS. See Kept items at the POS. The back office's Custody page shows the shelf. See Custody.
Open it
- In the menu, under MASTERS, click Outlet, then Outlets.

- Click the Kept items sub-tab.

Kept items
Bottles your customers have paid for and left with you. They are held at no value, so keeping one changes nothing in your stock value or cost of sales.1
Custody days
90
2How long a customer may leave a bottle here before it is theirs no longer: 90 days from the night it is kept. Bottles already being kept keep the date printed on their slip.3

- The line on top: what a kept item is, the same words the Custody page opens with.
- Custody days: how many days a customer may leave a bottle at this outlet, a whole number from 1 to 3650. Every outlet starts at 90.
- The line under it: the days in words, as you type. It also says the thing easy to get wrong: a change moves nothing already on the shelf.
- Save: saves the days with the rest of the outlet.
Change the days
- Type the number of days in Custody days.
- Click Save. The SAVED splash says HQ saved. Bottles kept from now on are held for the new number of days; anything already on the custody shelf keeps the date printed on its slip.
Each outlet has its own number: a bottle kept at BR2 is held for BR2's days, at BR2.
