Overview

Member's first screen in the back office. How many members you have, what members spent today and this month, the points rule, whose birthday is coming and whose membership is running out, read live from the Member Portal.

Overview is the first screen of Member. It shows the handful of figures a manager wants first: how many members there are, what members spent today and this month, whether a points rule is set, whose birthday is coming and whose membership is running out.

Your members, their points, wallets and vouchers are kept in the FooodPos Member Portal. The back office keeps none of it: every figure on this screen is read from the portal when the screen opens, and again when you press Refresh.

Before you start

  • Your back office access group needs Member (members, points, wallet, vouchers), View. Without it, the Member screens say You do not have the right to open this screen. Ask an administrator to tick it in your access group.
  • The restaurant must be connected to the Member Portal. Until it is, every Member screen shows one card: Member is not connected yet. See When Member is not connected yet.
  • Member must be in your plan. When it is not, the screen shows Add Member to your plan instead. See When Member is not in your plan.

Open Overview

  1. In the back office's menu, under MASTERS, click Member, then Overview.
  2. The page is titled Member, and so is its tab.

The screen, part by part

  1. Overview: under MASTERS, in the Member category. The page itself is titled Member.
  2. Open the Member Portal: opens the Member Portal in a new browser tab. Use it for what the back office does not show: the portal's charts, its staff sign-ins, its message log and its WhatsApp settings.
  3. Members: how many members are Active, and under it how many are suspended. Deleted members are not counted.
  4. Member sales today: what members' bills came to today, and under it how many bills and how many members. "Today" is today in Malaysia, as the portal counts its days.
  5. Member sales this month: the same, from the 1st of this month to today.
  6. Points rule: Set or Not set. When it is set, the line under it says the rule in words, such as RM 100 spent earns 100 points. 1000 points pay for RM 20. See Points.
  7. Birthdays in the next 7 days: members whose birthday falls in the next seven days, with their phone, the day, and how far off it is (today, tomorrow, in 3 days). The number beside the title is how many. Click a member to open their page.
  8. Memberships running out: Active members whose membership ends within your warning days, with the day it ends and how many days are left. The warning days are set in Member settings (Warn before it ends (days)). Click a member to open their page.
  9. Refresh: reads every figure and both lists again from the portal.
  10. Connected as: the merchant code this restaurant is connected under in the Member Portal.

Each list shows its first 10 members. When there are more, And 5 more. says how many are left out. When a list is empty, it says No birthdays this week. or Nobody is about to run out.

When there is no points rule

A new Member account has no points rule. Until one is saved, sales earn no points and nobody can pay with points. The Overview then says so first, in amber.

  1. Set your points rule: the warning. It stays until a rule is saved.
  2. Set your points rule (the button): opens Points, where the rule is made. A person who may not set Member up sees Ask an administrator to set it. instead.
  3. Points rule: Not set, in red.
  1. Click Set your points rule.
  2. On Points, type the two rates and click Save the points rule. See Points.
  3. Come back to Overview: the warning has gone, and Points rule reads Set.

When Member is not connected yet

Until the restaurant is connected to the Member Portal, every Member screen shows the same card and nothing else: there is nothing to read yet.

  2. Connect Member: opens Connection, where you subscribe or connect an account you already have. A person who may not set Member up sees Ask an administrator to connect it. instead.

  2. On Connection, click Subscribe, or connect the Member Portal account you already have. See Connection.
  3. Open Overview again: the figures show.
