Outlets: QR ordering

Guests can order from their phone by scanning a QR code at the table. How the QR menu looks and works is a QR profile, made in General Setup, QR Ordering. The outlet's QR ordering sub-tab chooses which profile its guests get, when they may order, and what they see for a dish that is sold out.

A new outlet takes no QR orders until a profile is chosen here.

Before you start

  • You may change the outlet.
  • At least one QR profile exists. See QR Ordering: the profile.
  • For Same as the outlet's operating hours, the outlet's hours are set on its Operating hours sub-tab. See Operating hours.

Open it

  1. In the menu, under MASTERS, click Outlet, then Outlets.
  2. Click Edit on the outlet's row.
  3. Click the QR ordering sub-tab.

The sub-tab, part by part

QR ordering: the profile, the hours, and the sold-out dishes.
  1. QR profile: the profile guests get when they scan a code at this outlet: its menu, prices and settings. None — this outlet takes no QR orders means guests are told self-ordering is not available. Only profiles in service are offered; one switched off says (switched off). The line under it says what the choice means.
  2. QR ordering hours: when guests may order. Outside the hours the QR page still shows the menu, takes no orders, and says when it opens again.
  3. Same as the outlet's operating hours: the QR follows the Operating hours sub-tab. Its line says Set on the Operating hours tab., or The outlet has no hours set, so the QR is open at any time.
  4. Its own hours: the QR has a week of its own, such as closing 30 minutes before the kitchen. A week grid opens under it, the same as on Operating hours: up to three periods a day, + Add period, Closed, Copy Monday to every day. It starts from the outlet's hours.
  5. What a guest meets now: the cloud's answer for this moment, such as QR ordering is open now, until 10:00 pm., QR ordering is closed now (outside QR hours). It opens at 5:00 pm., QR ordering is closed: the day end is done. It opens tomorrow at 10:00 am., or QR ordering is closed by hand from a POS (Siti on T01), until it is opened again or the day ends.
  6. Sold-out dishes on the QR menu: what a guest sees for a sold-out dish. Either way it cannot be ordered.
  7. Show them dimmed, marked sold out: the dish stays in its place, dimmed, with the sold-out text across it. This is the default.
  8. Hide sold out items: the dish leaves the guest's menu while it is sold out, and comes back by itself when it is on sale again.
  9. Sold-out text: the words across a sold-out dish, up to 30 characters, such as Finished or 售完. Left blank, guests see Sold out. With dishes hidden, the words show only where a guest already had the dish in the cart or open.
  10. On the guest's phone: the mark as the guest's phone draws it, so you can judge your words. With Hide sold out items chosen, the line under it says Hidden: guests will not see the dish at all. This is how it looks when dimmed.
  11. The line under the preview: what it shows.
  12. Save: saves the profile, the hours and the sold-out display with the rest of the outlet.
