When a member is on the bill, Pay later takes that member's own customer account by itself: you do not search. The debt, the limit and the knock-off are the customer's, as for any customer.

Before you start

  • Your restaurant uses both Pay later and Member, and the member is on the bill.

The Pay later window, with a member

Pay later on a member's bill: the customer is already there.
  1. The member's customer: taken by itself, with Member 030 (the member's card number).
  2. Owes now and Limit: what this customer owes, and how much they may owe.
  3. How: Invoice or Hold sales, as on any bill.
  4. Put RM 45.00 on Pay later: puts it on.

At the POS

  1. Attach the member to the bill, as usual.
  2. In the payment window, press Pay later.
  3. The first time, it says Linking Tan Ah Kow… for a moment. Then the customer shows, with Member 030.
  4. Choose Invoice or Hold sales, and press Put RM 45.00 on Pay later.

The first time needs the internet: the POS links the member to their customer, or makes one from the member's name and phone. After that it works offline too.

In the back office

  1. Under MASTERS, click Customers, then Customers, and click the customer's row.
  2. On Details, find Linked member.
  3. Click Link a member (or Change), find the member, then click Link this member.

Unlink takes the link off. What the customer owes stays on them.

If something goes wrong

  • This member has no pay later account yet. It is made the first time with the internet on.: the POS is offline. Find or add the customer by hand, as on any bill.
  • No Pay later key in the payment window: Pay later is not part of your restaurant's subscription.
