What a member gets
Points, a wallet and member vouchers: what your guests get when they join as members.
On this page
A member is a guest your restaurant knows by their phone number. With the member on the bill, they earn points, and can pay with points, their wallet or their member vouchers. It is all kept in the FooodPos Member Portal.
Before you start
- Your restaurant is connected to Member: in the back office, Member, Connection.

- Points: earned on every paid bill with the member on it. Points can also pay part of a bill.
- Wallet: money the member keeps with you, to pay with later.
- Vouchers: the member's own vouchers, each with its serial, value and last day.
Points
The points rule says how much is spent to earn 1 point, and how many points pay for RM 1. You set it in the back office, under Member, Points. Until a rule is set, sales earn no points.
Wallet
A member tops up their wallet with you, and the restaurant may add a bonus on a top-up. A top-up is done in the back office, under Member, Wallet. The member spends it at the POS.
Member vouchers
A member gets a voucher when they join, on their birthday, on a purchase that meets a rule, or from you by hand. Birthday vouchers are given when someone runs them in the back office, on the day: Member, Vouchers, Run today's birthday vouchers.
Use it at the counter
- The guest gives their phone number before paying.
- The cashier finds them and puts them on the bill.
- The guest pays with vouchers, points or wallet if they like, and the rest as usual.
- The receipt shows the points earned and the new balance.
If something goes wrong
- Paying with Member needs the internet: take another payment. The member still gets the points.
- Sales earn no points: set a points rule under Member, Points.
- No member matches.: check the number with the guest, or sign them up. See Joining as a member.
