The menu page
The first page a guest sees after scanning, part by part. The header with the shop picture, the outlet's name, the table and the welcome words, Call waiter and Request bill, the Menu and My orders tabs, Offers today, the section chips, each dish card with its badges, a sold-out dish, and the cart bar.
The menu page is what opens when a guest scans a table's code. It shows who you are and where they sit, your offers, and every dish they may order, section by section. A tap on a dish opens it; the bar at the foot opens the cart.
The guest's page is in English only. The dish names, the section names and the welcome words are your own, as typed in the back office.
Where the dishes come from
The dishes, and the sections they are in, come from the QR profile's own Menu:
- With a menu chosen on the profile, the page has one section for each category of that menu, in the menu's order, and each holds the dishes as a till shows them. Only the dishes on that menu that are also marked Show on QR menu are listed. A dish placed in two categories of the menu is in both sections.
- With no menu chosen (No menu: every dish with Show on QR menu), the page has one section for each of your categories, in their order, holding every dish marked Show on QR menu. Dishes with no category come last, under More.
A section left with no dish is not shown. The prices are the profile's Price level. See QR Ordering: a profile's settings.
The top of the page
- Shop picture: the wide picture across the top, set on the profile's Look of the page. With none, the page starts with the name.
- The outlet's name, with the outlet's logo beside it when it has one. With no name, Welcome.
- Table T6: the table the code belongs to, by its name, or its code when it has no name. A pick up or delivery order says You'll collect this order or This order will be delivered here instead, and a delivery adds Delivering to and the address.
- The welcome words: the profile's Welcome message. Not shown when it is empty.
- The estimate line: Prices shown are estimates. The restaurant confirms your final prices when it accepts your order. For pick up or delivery it adds You pay when you collect the order. or You pay when the order is delivered.
- Call waiter and Request bill: shown when the profile allows them, and only at a table. See Call waiter and Request bill.
- Menu: this page.
- My orders: what this phone has sent, and the table's bill. The dark number beside it counts the orders still waiting for the restaurant. See My orders and the table's bill.
- Play: shown only while an order sent from this phone has a game waiting to be played. See The QR game.
The tabs stay at the top of the screen while the guest scrolls.
The dishes
- Offers today: your promotions for the whole bill, such as a spend tier or 10% off everything, each with its name and what it gives. One that runs at set hours says until 3pm while it is on, or 3pm–5pm before it starts. Shown only when there is one. An offer on chosen dishes is shown on those dishes instead.
- The section chips: one for each section, in order. A tap scrolls the page to that section; the chip then turns the page's colour. They stay at the top while the guest scrolls. With one section only, there are no chips.
- The section's name: the category's name, or More for dishes with no category.
- A dish card: a tap anywhere on it opens the dish. See Choosing a dish's options.
- The second name: the dish's second name, as typed on the item, under its name.
- The description: the item's description, two lines at most.
- The price: at the profile's price level. What the guest's choices add is shown once the dish is open.
- An offer badge: a promotion on this dish, such as Buy 2 get 1 free, 20% off or RM 2.00 off each. Green while it is on now. Grey, with its hours, when it starts later today, such as 20% off · 3pm–5pm. A dish that is the free part of an offer says Free with and the offer's name.
- 1 in cart: how many of this dish the cart already holds.
- +: the dish can be ordered. A tap opens it, as a tap on the card does. The dish's picture stands above it when the item has one.
- A sold-out dish: it stays in its place, dimmed, with your sold-out words across it like a stamp (Sold out, or your own, such as Finished). It cannot be opened or added. If the outlet hides sold-out dishes, it is not on the page at all until it is on sale again.
- The cart bar: shown once the cart has something in it: how many items, View cart, and what they come to. It says Estimate · confirmed by the restaurant until the restaurant has priced the cart, then With offers · confirmed by the restaurant. A tap opens the cart. See The cart and sending the order.
A set meal wears a Set badge. A dish that the phone cannot order, because of the way it is set up, wears a dark label instead of the +: Please order this from staff, or Please order this set from staff for a set meal with no choices set up. The guest orders it at the counter, and you can put its options right in the back office.
At the very foot of the page, under the last section, Powered by and the FooodPos logo.
Find and open a dish
