Deposit activity says what moved on deposits in a range of days: what was taken, from whom and by which method, what was used on bills, handed back or forfeited. Over one day it is that day's DEPOSITS part of the Z reading, to the sen.

What it counts

  • Each movement on the day it happened, by business day: a deposit taken or topped up, used on a bill, handed back, forfeited or adjusted.
  • Money in and out by method: what customers paid for deposits, and what went back to them, by payment method.
  • Each outlet's own: a deposit belongs to the outlet that took it, and its use to the outlet whose bill it paid.
  • Deposits counted as sales: when an outlet counts deposits as sales when they are taken, a panel says what that adds to and takes off its sales.
  • This report has an Outlet box but no POS box.

Before you start

  • You need Deposit Reports in your back office access group.

Open Deposit activity

  1. In the menu, under REPORTS, click Pay Later & Deposit Report, then Deposit activity.

The report, part by part

  6. Counted as sales (mode S): shown only when an outlet counts deposits as sales when taken, and the days have one. + Deposits taken as sales is added to the sales; - Deposits counted earlier is taken off a bill a deposit paid, because it was counted when taken; - Deposits refunded is taken off when one goes back. Sales adjustment is the three together.
  7. Taken, by method: the money taken, by payment method, with how many tenders.
  8. Handed back, by method: the money handed back, by payment method.
  9. Every document: each movement, one row, in the order it happened, up to 2000.
  10. Export CSV: saves every document as deposit-activity- and the days.
  11. What: Taken, Top-up 2 (and so on), Used on and the bill's number, Put back by a refund (a refund of a bill gave the deposit back), Refunded, Forfeited, Credit kept or Adjusted, with the document's own number when it has one.
  12. Amount: money in is positive; used, refunded and forfeited are negative.

Day is the business day; Deposit is the deposit's DP number. With All outlets and several outlets, an Outlet column comes after Day. The CSV has: Day, Outlet, Deposit, What, Document, Customer, Mode (Counted as sales or Record only), Amount and Note (the reason given, such as why it was forfeited).
