Your plan: features, outlets and POS terminals
What your subscription decides and where you see it. The packages Basic, Pro and Pro Max and the Member add-on, the five features that can be off (and are then hidden), Member's Add Member to your plan, the outlets and POS terminals allowed with 2 of 2 used, the trial, and how to change your plan.
On this page
Your subscription decides three things: which features your restaurant has, how many outlets it may have, and how many POS terminals. FooodPos sets them for you; the back office and the POS follow them by themselves.
Nothing is ever deleted when a plan changes. A feature that is not in your plan is hidden; when it comes back, everything in it is there as it was.
The packages
The website's pricing page, fooodpos.com/pricing, sells three packages for one outlet, and one add-on:
| Basic | Pro | Pro Max | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | RM 50 / month | RM 90 / month | RM 130 / month |
| Outlets | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| Main POS | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| Sub stations | 0 | 3 | Unlimited |
| Bookings and the waiting queue | ✅ | ✅ | |
| Stock and recipes | ✅ | ✅ | |
| Kept items (custody) | ✅ | ✅ | |
| Pay later and deposits | ✅ | ||
| Member (add-on) | + RM 30 / month | + RM 30 / month | + RM 30 / month |
The page says: Prices are in Malaysian ringgit, for one outlet, each month, with a minimum of 6 or 12 months. Each further outlet is the same price again. A sub station is a sub POS, a waiter device, a kitchen display, an expeditor, an Order board or a self-order kiosk. Member's price includes the FooodPos Member Portal.
Every package has the POS on Windows and Android in any mix, the back office, the floor plan, QR table ordering and its game, kitchen printers, promotions and vouchers, reports, shifts and day end, and keeps selling when the internet drops.
The free trial
A new trial restaurant has 1 outlet and 2 POS terminals (the Main and one sub station), with Stock, Kept items, Pay later and deposits, and Bookings and queue there to try, for 30 days. The top bar counts the days down: Trial · 5 days left. See Trial days and subscription notices.
The five features
FooodPos switches each of these on or off for your restaurant:
| Feature | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Stock | Store Room, Suppliers, Stock Documents, Count a Shelf, the stock reports, a dish's Track stock and Ingredients, and the POS's Stock button |
| Kept items | Custody (a guest's bottle kept behind the bar), its slips and reports, and the POS's Kept items button |
| Pay later and deposits | Customer accounts on credit and their reports, the Pay later key on the POS's payment window, and taking a new deposit |
| Bookings and queue | Reservations, the booking link, Dining Shifts, the POS's Bookings, and the waiting queue with its QR |
| Member | Points, a wallet and vouchers for members, through the FooodPos Member Portal |
A feature that is off is hidden
Its menu rows, its tabs and boxes inside other pages, and its buttons on the POS are not shown. What it holds is kept and saved as it is.
Two things stay while there is something to look after:
- Deposits already held can still be used, refunded, forfeited and extended, and the Deposits page and its reports stay for a restaurant that ever had a deposit. With Pay later and deposits off, nothing new is taken.
- Bookings already made, and groups already in the queue, can still be seated, cancelled or finished. With Bookings and queue off, no new booking is taken.
See Why a menu item or button is missing.
Member asks to be added
Member is shown as normal even when it is not in your plan, so you can see what it offers. The first thing that would use it (Connect, Subscribe, linking a customer to a member, or the Member key on the POS) opens one window instead:
- What it says: Member is not in your plan yet, what it does, and that FooodPos adds it. Under it, FooodPos's WhatsApp and phone number.
- Message on WhatsApp: opens WhatsApp with FooodPos.
- Close: closes the window. Nothing is sent to the Member Portal.
Outlets and POS terminals allowed
What is counted
- Outlets: every outlet that is switched on.
- POS terminals: every switched-on Main terminal, Sub terminal, Waiter, Kitchen display, Order board and Kiosk: the Main POS and its sub stations. A customer display is not counted: it is a screen of a Main or Sub POS.
Where you see it
Outlets
| POS | Mode · App | Status | |
|---|---|---|---|
| T01 | Main terminal · Windows | Online | Edit ⋯ |
| T02 | Waiter · Android | Online | Edit ⋯ |
- Outlets: under Masters, Outlet.
- + Add outlet: dimmed at the limit. Rest the pointer on it, or press it, to read why: Your licence does not allow more outlets (1 of 1 used). Contact FooodPos to add more. No form opens.
- 1 of 1 used: the outlets in use, of the number your plan allows. With no limit, nothing is shown.
- + Terminal: dimmed at the limit, with the same kind of sentence. It still opens, with the sentence above the form; the cloud then refuses to save a POS that counts.
- POS terminals: 2 of 2 used: the POS terminals in use, for the whole restaurant.
A new outlet comes with its own Main POS, so adding one needs room for an outlet and a POS terminal. Short of a POS terminal, the sentence ends …, and a new outlet comes with its own POS. Contact FooodPos to add more.
What is never refused
Only adding is refused. A restaurant already over its limit keeps every outlet and POS: nothing is switched off, and saving a POS that already counts goes through. Pairing, re-pairing and Replace this Main POS use a POS that exists, and are never limited.
Where your plan shows
- The back office's top bar: a chip beside your subscription's name: Trial · 5 days left during a trial, Expires 7 Oct 2027 on a paid plan. Point at a paid chip to read your plan, such as Plan: Pro.
- The POS's status bar, at the foot of the screen: Trial · 5 days left, Active, or Read-only · trial ended.
- The Boss app: its Balances show stock, kept items and Pay later only when those features are in your plan.
Change your plan
Contact FooodPos. They change it from their side, and you pay the difference between the two packages; nothing has to be set up again. The back office and the POS follow at once: the back office when you come back to its window, each POS at its next sync. Move down and later back up, and your stock, kept items and accounts come back as they were.
