Bills lists every bill of the days and outlets in the top bar, newest first: paid, open, held, Pay later, refunds and voided. Search by number or table, filter by state, and press a bill to see all of it: the dishes, the discounts, the totals and how it was paid.

The list is the back office Sales list's own bills. A closed bill's sheet is the stored bill the receipt is printed from. See Sales list.

Before you start

  • Your access group allows Reports, Sales Reports, View. Without it the tab says Your sign-in may not see the list of bills.
  • To look inside a bill that is still open, it also needs Live service, Open Bills, View (or POS, Take Orders, View).

The list, part by part

Bills: the search, the filters with their counts, and the newest bills.
  1. Bill number or table: type part of a bill or receipt number, a table, or the number of the bill a refund gives back on. The list follows a moment after you stop typing.
  2. The filters: All, Paid, Open, Pay later, Refunds and Voided, each with how many bills of that kind the days hold, whatever the search. Paid is the bills paid outright; a bill with a Pay later method among its payments is under Pay later instead. Open holds the held bills too. Pay later is shown only when there is one. The lit one is on screen.
  3. The number: the receipt number of a paid bill or a refund; the bill number of a bill not paid yet.
  4. The state: Paid (green), Open (pink), Held (grey), Pay later (amber), Refund (amber, a refund document) or Voided (red).
  5. When and where: the time it was paid, or voided, or for a bill still open the time it was opened, with the day too when the range has several days; the table, or the order type when there is none; the POS; and with several outlets, the outlet's code.
  6. Paid by: the methods it was paid with, each once. On a refund: Refund of and the bill it gives back on.
  7. The total: a refund's is the money that went back, with a minus. A voided bill's is struck through.
  8. Show more: the next bills. They also come by themselves as you scroll near the end. It says Loading… while they come.

A bill with Refunded beside Paid had money given back later: its refund is a row of its own.

An open bill

A bill not paid yet has no receipt. Its sheet is read from the back office's Open Bills, as it stands now:

  • Bill: Open or Held, the total so far, and Bill no., Table, Order type, Guests, Opened, Server and POS.
  • Items: each line and its amount, with its note. Nothing on this bill yet. when it has none.
  • Totals so far: Subtotal, Line discount, Bill discount, Service with its rate, your own charge, Rounding, Total, each payment already taken, and Still to pay.

Without the right to look inside open bills, the sheet says This bill is still open. and Its lines and payments show here once it is paid. Your sign-in may not look inside open bills; an administrator can allow it (Open Bills).
