Boss app: Top
The Boss app's Top tab. Top items ranked by amount or by quantity, the first 10, 50 or 100, each with its share of the whole; or Top outlets ranked by net sales, with their bills and average bill against the best one.
Top shows what sold most, and which outlet sold most, for the days and outlets in the top bar:
- Top items: the dishes and drinks that sold most, by money or by how many, the first 10, 50 or 100.
- Top outlets: your outlets from the one with the most net sales down.
Every figure is a back office report's own: Item Sales for the items, Sales for the outlets.
Before you start
- Top items needs Reports, Item Sales, View. Without it: Your sign-in may not see item sales.
- Top outlets needs Reports, Sales Reports, View. Without it: Your sign-in may not see sales by outlet.
- Top outlets needs more than one outlet. A sign-in that sees one outlet has nothing to rank.
Top items, part by part
- Top items / Top outlets: what to rank. The lit one is on screen.
- By amount / By qty: rank by the money each item brought in, or by how many were sold. Shown for Top items only.
- 10, 50, 100: how many items to list. Ten at first.
- The rank and the item: 1 is the best seller. The item's name as it was sold.
- The figure: By amount, the money; By qty, how many were sold.
- The bar: the item's share of the whole, for all the items sold in those days, not only the ones listed. A best seller at a quarter of the takings has a quarter of a bar.
- The small figure: By amount, how many were sold, such as 42 sold; By qty, the money.
- Press Top items.
- Press By amount to rank by money, or By qty to rank by how many.
- Press 10, 50 or 100 for a longer list.
The items are the back office Item Sales report's own: the lines of paid bills and refund documents, voided lines left out, a refund taking its own back. By amount is that report's order and its Total column. The list is ranked and cut by FooodPos, so the phone downloads only the rows it shows.
Top outlets
- The rank and the outlet: the outlet with the most net sales first.
- Net sales: after discounts, before tax and service charge.
- The bar: the outlet against the best one: the best is a full bar.
- Bills and average: its bills, and avg: what it collected, divided by its bills.
- The line at the foot: the days, such as Net sales today., and how to read the bar.
The outlets are the ones ticked in the top bar, and no others. These are the Sales report's figures per outlet (its By outlet panel).
- Press Top outlets.
- To rank only some outlets, tick them in the top bar's outlets sheet and press Done.
The days
The days are the top bar's, like every tab's: Today, Last 7 days, a month, or your own From and To. Choose Last 30 days to see what really sells, not just today's luck.
