A kitchen ticket can go missing: it fell behind the printer, the paper jammed, or the cook threw it away with a dish still to make. Reprint ticket prints the dishes you tick again, at the same stations, marked REPRINT under the number they first went out with, so the kitchen knows it is a copy and nobody cooks them twice.

It prints only dishes already sent to the kitchen. To send new dishes, use Save & Fire.

Before you start

  • The right to reprint kitchen tickets. In the back office it is Reprint a kitchen ticket in the access group. Cashiers have it from the start. Without it, the window opens but nothing can be ticked (see What if…).
  • The dishes have gone to the kitchen. Dishes not sent yet are shown, but cannot be ticked.

Open it

  • On the sales screen: Reprint ticket in the bar under the menu.
  • On the table plan: tap the table, then Reprint kitchen in its window. See The table window.

The window, part by part

Reprint ticket on a bill with two rounds and one dish not sent yet.
  1. Reprint ticket: the bill's dishes, as the bill shows them on the sales screen.
  2. Tick what the kitchen needs again. It prints marked REPRINT, so nobody cooks it twice.: what this window does.
  3. Tick all: ticks every dish that can be ticked. Tap it again to untick them all.
  4. 1st order · 12:05: the dishes grouped by the Save & Fire they went out in, with its time. Voided dishes are not listed: their DELETE slip has already gone.
  5. A dish: its tick box, the quantity in a box, the name, then its choices (+ Extra sambal) and its note (· Less sugar). Tap anywhere on the row to tick or untick it. When part of a line has not been sent, it says so in amber: 1 not sent yet. Only the sent part is reprinted.
  6. New — not fired: dishes not sent yet, greyed, with not sent yet. They cannot be ticked. Send them with Save & Fire.
  7. Close: closes the window. Nothing more is printed.
  8. Reprint: prints the ticked dishes. Grey until something is ticked. While it works: Printing….
  1. Press Reprint ticket.
  2. Tick the dishes the kitchen needs again, or Tick all.
  3. Press Reprint.
  4. Each station gets a ticket with only its ticked dishes, marked *** REPRINT ***. No master slip is printed.
  5. At the top of the window, the POS says for each station what happened, for example HOT: printed. The ticks are cleared.
  6. Press Close.
What the POS says after Reprint, and the ticket the kitchen gets.
  1. The answers: one line per station, by the station's code. See the table below.
  2. *** REPRINT ***: at the top of every reprinted ticket. The kitchen display never shows a reprint: it is paper only.
  3. The ticket number and time the dishes first went out with, so the kitchen can match it with the first ticket.

What the POS can say for a station:

It saysWhat it means
HOT: printedThe printer has it.
HOT: printingSent to the printer; it had not answered yet.
HOT: printer not answering — it keeps trying, see the kitchen bannerThe POS keeps the ticket and tries again. If it stays stuck, see Print log.
HOT: not printed — …It could not be printed, and why.
HOT: may have printed — check the printerIt went to the printer, which did not confirm. Look at the printer before printing again.
BAR: sent to the POS that prints for itBAR's printer is on another POS: that POS prints it.
HOT has no printer — set one on this POS in Settings > Hardware > PrinterThis POS has no printer for the station.
HOT is a kitchen screen only — nothing to print thereThe station has a kitchen display and no printer.
HOT cannot print — …The station's printer cannot be used, and why.
No kitchen station takes Coke — nothing to print for itThe dish goes to no station.

Nothing here waits for the internet: the dishes print from this POS, and the cloud hears of the reprint afterwards. If the first ticket of these dishes was waiting in Print log, and every dish of it is on paper again now, it leaves Needs attention by itself.

On Windows

The window opens in the middle of the screen, over the bill. The answers are in a blue box at its top, above Tick all.

On Android

Reprint ticket slides up from the bottom of the screen, with the same parts in the same order: the title and its line, Tick all, the dishes by round, and Close and Reprint side by side at the foot. Pull it down, or press Back, to close it.

Reprint ticket on Android, from the foot of the screen.
  1. Tick all: as on Windows.
  2. Close: closes the sheet.
  3. Reprint: prints the ticked dishes; the answers show above the dishes, in a tinted box.
