When a bill is paid in full, the Paid screen comes up and the receipt prints, shows first, or waits for you, as the back office says. You can always print it from the Paid screen.

The receipt: as it prints.
Print receipt: prints it. Once it has printed, the button says Print a copy, and the copy is marked REPRINT. If it did not print, it says Try again.
Email: sends the receipt to the guest. See Email a receipt.
Exit (10): back to the tables. It counts down and goes by itself.

The line under Paid says what happened: Printing the receipt…, then The receipt was printed. On Android the button keeps the name Print receipt; what it prints after the first is a copy, marked REPRINT.

What prints by itself

Each POS follows Print receipt in its POS terminal setting:

Direct: the receipt prints at once.
Preview: it shows first. On Windows a window Receipt HQ-000123 opens: press Print, or Close to skip it. On Android it shows on the left: press Print receipt.
No print: nothing prints. Press Print receipt if the guest asks.

Print copies on a payment method beats all three: a bill paid with that method prints that many copies at once, with no preview. With two methods, the bigger number counts.

Print two copies for one payment method

In the back office menu, under MASTERS, click General Setup, then Payment Methods.
Click Edit on the method's row, such as Visa.
In Print copies, type 2 (1 to 5). Leave it blank to follow the POS terminal setting.
Click Save. The POS uses it after its next sync.

To change Direct, Preview or No print: Outlet, POS Terminal Settings, Edit on the setting, the Printing tab, Print receipt.

If something goes wrong

No receipt printer is set for this POS.: set it on the POS in Settings, Hardware, Printer, then press Print receipt.
The receipt did not print: check the printer is on, has paper and its cover is shut, then press Try again.
The guest wants it after you left the Paid screen: print it again from Last bill.
