Sub and Waiter POS working through the Main

On your own network only, every order, payment and shift of a Sub or Waiter is saved on the Main. What looks different, and the question Was the money taken?

When the Main POS is set to On your own network only, a Sub or Waiter POS keeps nothing of its own. Every order, payment and shift is saved on the Main the moment you press. You work as usual: this guide shows the few things that look different.

Before you start

The Main POS is on, with FooodPos open, on the same network as this POS. See Through the internet, or On your own network only.

When a payment is not confirmed

Cash RM 45.00 for T6 was not recorded by the Main POS. Was the money taken?1

The Main has no record of a payment: you say whether the money was taken.

The question: the payment, its amount and the table, which the Main has no record of.
Yes, record it: the money is in the drawer, or the card was paid. The Main records it now.
No, it was not paid: nothing was taken. The payment is dropped.
Answer later: a line stays at the top, Tap here to answer.

You press Take RM 45.00. The top says Checking with the Main POS… Do not take the money again.
Usually the Main answers at once, and the bill closes.
If the Main has no record of it, the question above opens.
Check the drawer or the card slip, then answer Yes, record it or No, it was not paid.

What else is different

Shift: it is kept on the Main: This POS's shift is kept on T01. A Sub with no shift of its own sells in the Main's shift: T01's shift is not open. Open the shift on T01 to start selling here.
Day end: a POS that may run it does so as usual, and it is saved on the Main: Day end for Fri 30 Oct 2026 is done. It is saved on T01. Otherwise: Do the day end at T01.
Items kept on a Waiter: if the Main does not answer while you send, 2 items for T4 are kept here and will be sent when the Main POS answers. If they still cannot go, press Send again, or Discard.

If something goes wrong

Main POS is not answering: check that T01 is on, with FooodPos open, on the same network, then press Search again. Nothing can be keyed until it answers.
This POS may not do that. Do it at T01.: do it on the Main POS.
This needs the internet at T01. Try again when T01 is online.: wait for the Main's internet. See When the Main POS has no internet.
