Day end
Close the business day on the POS. The drawer is counted, every shift is closed and the Z reading prints.
The day end closes the business day. It closes this POS's shift with the day, closes the other POS's drawers, and prints the shift slip and the day's Z reading. Do it once, at the end of the day. It works with no internet too.
Before you start
- Use the Main POS, or a Sub POS whose May run day end is ticked in the back office.
- You may run the day end, or a manager is there to type their PIN.

6- Card terminals: only on a POS with a card terminal. Settle it before you close the day.
- The amber lines: things to know, such as bills not paid yet. They do not stop the day end.
- This POS’s drawer: count it note by note, as at a shift close. Its shift closes with the day.
- Other POS drawers still open: for each one, Count here (count its cash on this screen) or Not counted.
- Close the day: closes the day, with the cash you counted.
- Readings: the day's X reading so far, and the last Z again.
On Android the parts are the same. Its card terminal box is at the foot, under Readings.
Close the day
- Press Day end in the bottom bar.
- If Card terminals shows, press Settle PBB first.
- Count this POS's drawer: tap each note's row and key how many.
- For each other POS drawer, press Count here and count it, or press Not counted.
- Press Close the day (RM 995.50 counted). If bills are not paid yet, the POS warns you: press Continue.
- The shift slip and the Z reading print. The screen says Day 2026-10-30 is closed on this POS, its shift closed.
Unpaid bills stay open on their tables. You take their payment in the next shift.
If something goes wrong
- Close the day stays grey: something must be settled first. See What holds the day end.
- Day end for 2026-10-29 has not been done. Do the day end to continue.: the POS will not sell until you press Day end and close that day.
- This day end closes 2026-10-29, the day of the shift that is still open.: that is right. Close it, then open today's shift.
