Menu design lets you make a quick change to the menu on the POS itself: add a category or an item, change a price, or put modifiers on an item. Every change goes straight to the cloud, for every POS.

Before you start

  • Your access group has the right Menu design on the POS.
  • The POS is on the internet. Nothing is kept to send later.

The screen

Menu design: the categories and items, and an item opened.
  1. The categories: tap one to see its items.
  2. + New category: adds a category at the end.
  3. An item: tap it to open it, as on the right.
  4. + New item: adds an item to the category you are in.
  5. The price: tap it to change it.
  6. Modifiers: + puts a modifier group on the item, − takes it off.

Add a new item

  1. On the table screen, tap ⚙, then 📋 Menu design.
  2. Tap the category the item belongs in.
  3. Tap + New item.
  4. Type the Name and the Price (RM). Leave Item code empty to number it by itself.
  5. Check the Category and the Tax, then press Save.
  6. The POS says Nasi Goreng added. The other POS get it the next time they sync.

A category is the same: tap + New category, type its Name, then Save.

Change a price

  1. Tap the item, then tap its price.
  2. Key the new price. The window shows the old and the new, such as RM 14.90 → RM 15.90.
  3. Press Save. The POS says Nasi Lemak Ayam now sells at RM 15.90.

Bills already open or paid keep the price they have.

Put a modifier on an item

  1. Tap the item.
  2. Tap + beside Modifiers.
  3. Tap a modifier group, such as Spice level. The POS says Spice level is on Nasi Lemak Ayam now.

To take one off, press − beside it. Pictures, a second language and stock are set in the back office.

If something goes wrong

  • Changing the menu needs the internet. Nothing was changed.: wait for the internet, then save again.
  • You may not change the menu on the POS. Ask for the right "Menu design on the POS".: ask the owner to tick it in POS access groups, then sign in again.
  • The new item is not on the sales screen: your menu was designed by hand in the back office. Add its button there, in Menu Designer.
