Through the internet, or On your own network only
Choose how the Sub and Waiter POS of a Main POS work, each with its own internet or everything through the Main.
A Main POS has one setting for its Sub and Waiter POS, with two choices. Through the internet: each one works on its own and needs its own internet. On your own network only: everything goes through the Main POS over your shop's network, and only the Main needs the internet.

Through the internetEach sub and waiter POS works on its own and reaches this main through the cloud. - Through the internet: each Sub and Waiter keeps its own bills and sends them to the cloud itself. Each needs its own internet.
- On your own network only: every order, payment and shift is saved on the Main at once. The Subs and Waiters need no internet of their own, but cannot work while they cannot reach the Main. A new Main starts on this choice.
- The line under the two: where it stands. In amber when something may need attention, with a list under it.
- Linked to this main terminal: its Sub and Waiter POS.
- Save: saves it. Each POS takes it within about a minute.
Which one suits you
- On your own network only: the Main POS has a fixed place, on a network cable and a UPS, and stays on with FooodPos open. Only the Main needs a good internet line.
- Through the internet: every POS has good internet of its own, or the Main is not always on.
Change it
- In the menu, under MASTERS, click Outlet, then Outlets.
- Click Edit on the outlet's row, then the POS terminals tab.
- Click Edit on the Main POS (such as T01), then Operation.
- Under How sub and waiter POS work with this main, choose one.
- Click Save.
Switch after a day end, before anybody opens a shift: then no Sub or Waiter is in the middle of a bill.
If something goes wrong
- Not everything is ready yet. It switches anyway: a POS still holding an open bill, unsent work or its own shift may need attention.: read the list under it, and finish those bills or shifts.
- The list for "On your own network only" could not be read. Close this screen and open it again.: close the window and open it again.
- Partly switched, in amber beside the Main in the list: open its Operation, choose one of the two, and Save.
