An X reading is a paper with the figures so far: the sales, the payments and the cash the drawer should hold. Print one whenever you want, for example before a manager checks the drawer. It closes nothing.

The button and the paper

Print X reading on the Shift screen, and the paper it prints.
  1. Print X reading: prints this shift's figures on this POS's receipt printer.
  2. The title: SHIFT X READING, and the line saying it is not the day's record.
  3. SALES: the bills and the sales of the shift so far.
  4. PAYMENTS: each payment method, with how many and how much.
  5. CASH DRAWER: the float, the cash taken, the cash paid in or out, and what the drawer should hold now.

The shift's X reading

  1. Press Shift in the bottom bar.
  2. Press Print X reading. The screen says The shift X reading is printing. It closes nothing.

The whole day's X reading

  1. Press Day end in the bottom bar.
  2. Under Readings, press Print X reading. With internet it holds every POS of the outlet.
  3. Press Close. Nothing was closed.

The Z reading is different: the day end prints it by itself. See The Z reading and its reprint.

If something goes wrong

  • The X reading did not print: check that the receipt printer is on and has paper, then press Print X reading again.
  • No connection: this POS's own X reading is printing.: without internet the day's X holds only this POS. It says which POS it covers.
