The Z reading is the day's record: the sales, the payments and the cash of the business day. The day end prints it by itself, once. Any copy after that is marked as a reprint.

The buttons and the paper

The Day End screen just after the day end, and the Z reading.
  1. Print what did not print: after a paper failed, prints it now as the original.
  2. Print again (reprint): prints the shift slip and the Z again, marked as a reprint.
  3. Reprint last Z: the last day closed, at any time later. With internet it is the cloud's Z.
  4. Z READING: a reprint says *** REPRINT *** under it.
  5. Covers: which POS this Z holds. The Z printed at the day end is worked out on this POS.
  6. CASH DRAWER: what the drawer should hold, what was counted, and the difference: SHORT or OVER when it is not 0.00.
  1. Press Day end in the bottom bar.
  2. Under Readings, press Reprint last Z.
  3. With internet, it says Z reading for 2026-10-30 is printing, marked as a reprint — the cloud's, every POS in it.
  4. Press Close.

With several POS, the Z printed at the day end may hold only this POS. Once every POS has sent its work, Reprint last Z prints the cloud's Z with all of them.

If something goes wrong

  • The Z reading did NOT print (the screen says why): fix the printer, then press Print what did not print.
  • No day has been closed on this outlet yet, so there is no Z reading to print.: run the first day end.
  • The Z reading did not print: this POS is set not to print it at day end.: press Print again (reprint) for a copy.
