A Sub POS's shift on the Main POS
How a Sub POS's cash is counted with the Main POS's drawer, and how to close a Sub POS's shift left open on the Main POS.
A Sub POS either keeps its own shift, like the Main POS, or has none and is counted with the Main POS. The back office decides it: May run day end on the Sub POS (Outlets, the outlet, POS terminals, Edit, Orders & payments).
- Ticked: the Sub POS has its own Shift button, its own drawer count and may run the day end.
- Not ticked: no Shift button. It sells only while the Main POS's shift is open, and its cash is counted with the Main POS's drawer.

5Count and close64- Drawer should hold: already includes the cash of every Sub POS counted with this drawer.
- Counted with this drawer: shows only on a Main POS with such a Sub POS. Count all the cash boxes together, as one count.
- T02 cash: what that Sub POS took, and when it last said so.
- T03's shift, opened through this POS: a Sub POS that worked through this Main POS and left its shift open here.
- Cash counted in T03's drawer: count that Sub POS's cash box and key the total.
- Count and close: closes that Sub POS's shift. Its slip prints on this POS.
On Windows the box of a Sub POS's shift sits at the bottom left of the Shift screen. On Android it is above this POS's own shift.
Close the shift of a Sub POS
- On the Main POS, press Shift in the bottom bar.
- Find the box T03's shift, opened through this POS.
- Count the cash in T03's cash box.
- Key it in Cash counted in T03's drawer.
- Press Count and close. The screen says T03's shift is closed.
Left open, the shift is closed by the next day end, as not counted.
If something goes wrong
- T01's shift is not open. Open the shift on T01 to start selling here.: on the Sub POS. Open the shift on the Main POS, and the Sub POS sells again by itself.
- Main POS not reachable: on the Sub POS. Check that the Main POS is on with FooodPos open, then press Search again.
- T02 not reachable since 15:40: its cash may be more than shown.: count its cash box anyway, and check.
