Reopen the day
After the day end, open a shift and answer Yes, and the same business day is open for selling again.
After the day end, the business day is closed. Guests still coming in, or the day closed too early? Open a shift: the POS asks whether to reopen the day. It is all done on the POS, with or without internet.

- Day end has already been done: the Day End screen, once the day is closed.
- The question: asked when you open a shift in a day that has had its day end.
- No: opens nothing. The day stays closed.
- Yes: opens the shift, and the day is open again.
Reopen the day
- Press the red Open shift in the bottom bar.
- Count the drawer and key the Opening float (RM).
- Press Open shift. The POS asks Do you want to reopen the day?
- Press Yes. The shift opens and you can sell again.
When you are done, run the day end again. The second day end closes the whole day, and its Z reading holds every bill of that day.
When the day was closed on another POS
Your POS may not know yet that the day end was done elsewhere. Then the shift you open is closed again a moment later, and the POS says Day end was already done for 2026-10-30, so the shift could not stay open. with the same question. Press Yes: the Open shift window comes up, and this time the day reopens.
If something goes wrong
- You pressed No by mistake: press Open shift again and answer Yes.
- Your shift was closed at day end by Ali: the day end was run on another POS. Open a new shift, and answer Yes when asked.
