At the end of your shift you count the drawer and close the shift. The POS checks your count against what the drawer should hold, and prints the shift slip. It works with no internet too.

The count, and the closed shift

Count each note and coin, then close: the result shows large.
  1. The notes and coins: from RM 100 down to 10 sen. Tap a row, then key how many.
  2. The pad and Next: the pad keys the number for the chosen row. Next moves to the next note.
  3. Counted: the rows added up. You never type the total.
  4. Drawer should hold: with Balanced in green, RM 2.00 short in red or RM 2.00 over in amber.
  5. Close shift and print the slip: closes the shift and prints its slip.
  6. The result: large, so nobody misreads it. Print again prints a copy marked as a reprint.

Close your shift

  1. Press Shift in the bottom bar, then Close shift.
  2. Tap the RM 100 row and key how many notes there are. Press Next.
  3. Do the same for every note and coin. Counted adds up by itself.
  4. Check the line under it: Balanced, or how much short or over.
  5. Press Close shift and print the slip. The slip prints.
  6. Press Done. You are back at the tables, and the bottom bar says Open shift.

A bill still open is not lost. The screen says 1 bill is still open on this POS. Money taken on it after this close goes into the next shift.

If something goes wrong

  • The shift slip did NOT print: check the receipt printer, then press Print the slip on the Shift closed screen.
  • Close shift (manager): a manager types their PIN (or staff code and password) under the count, then you press Close shift and print the slip.
  • The shift is closed. Its slip is kept, not printed: this POS is set not to print it. Press Print the slip if you want it.
