Use a deposit on a bill
Pay all or part of a bill from the money a customer left with you as a deposit.
When a customer who left a deposit pays their bill, you use the deposit to pay all of it or a part. A deposit never gives change: what is left stays on it for next time.

- Use a deposit: the tab the window opens on.
- Search: the customer's name or phone, the deposit's code, or scan the slip's QR.
- The deposits offered: the deposit of this order, of this booking or of this customer, shown before you search. Tap one.
- The deposit: what is left on it, and until when it is valid.
- Amount to use: what is left on the deposit, or the bill, whichever is less. You may lower it.
- Use RM 50.00: pays that much of the bill from the deposit.
Use the deposit
- In the payment window, press Deposit under the payment methods (on Android, at the top).
- Tap the deposit offered. Or scan the slip, or type the name, phone or code.
- Check Amount to use.
- Press Use RM 50.00. The POS says Deposit DP-HQ-T01-2610-000012 used: RM 50.00 on this bill.
- Take the rest by cash, card or e-wallet, as usual.
No bill open yet? On the Deposits tab of 📒 Pay later / Deposit, press Use on the deposit. A new bill opens for the customer, and the deposit is offered at payment.
If something goes wrong
- This deposit expired on 2026-11-30. A manager must extend, refund or forfeit it first.: ask a manager to Extend it.
- With the cloud out of reach, the customer's slip is needed: scan its QR or key its code.: scan the slip; a manager then types their PIN.
- Not on this POS. Press Enter to ask the cloud.: press Enter (on Android, Search).
